Lingerie has moved beyond function. In 2026, it is a form of self-expression — the thing you wear that has nothing to do with anyone else seeing it and everything to do with how you feel. Here is the definitive guide.
The Lingerie Essentials Every Woman Needs
The Everyday Bralette
Soft, unstructured, comfortable. A quality bralette in neutral tones is the most worn piece in the lingerie drawer. Look for wide straps and supportive bands.
The Special Occasion Set
A matching lace set — bra and knicker in coordinating lace — for moments when you want to feel special. This does not have to be expensive to feel luxurious.
The Bodysuit
A bodysuit bridges lingerie and outerwear. Styled under a blazer or wide-leg trousers, a lace bodysuit becomes a complete outfit. Buy at least one in black lace and one in a neutral.
The Satin Set
Satin or silk-feel pajama shorts + matching cami or bralette. Worn as loungewear or sleepwear, this is the luxury piece that costs a fraction of what the brand equivalents charge.
How to Get Lingerie Sizing Right
Lingerie sizing is notoriously inconsistent across brands. At MILOR, we size lingerie against body measurements, not bra sizing conventions. Check the bust measurement on each product and compare to your own measurement for the best fit.
When in doubt, size up. It is easier to wear slightly larger lingerie than to feel constricted in a size too small.
Styling Lingerie as Outerwear
One of 2026's strongest trends is wearing lingerie-inspired pieces as outerwear. A lace bralette under a blazer. A satin slip worn over a fitted turtleneck. A mesh bodysuit under a structured jacket. The key is intentionality — the contrast between structured outer layers and delicate inner pieces creates the interest.
